Fried Rice


Preparation Time:  10 minutes
 Ingredients:

1 cup asian roast pork, chicken, or shrimp (can be omitted          for vegetarian recipe
2 stalks celery diced
1/2 cup carrots shredded
1 sm onion diced
1/4 cup cabbage, shredded
1/4 cup frozen peas, defrosted
any other vegetable of your choice
2 eggs (can be omitted for vegan recipe)
1/2 tsp salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 cups cooked long grain rice
1 teaspoon five spice seasoning if available - if not, mix equal      parts anise, cinnamon, ginger, and fine ground black pepper
2 tablespoons sesame oil (use 1/2 hot chili sesame oil for a       little heat if you like)
soy sauce (about 2 tablespoons)

Preparation:

Heat a wok on high heat
Add 1/2 of oil to hot wok
Add vegetables and stir for 1 minute
Add meat, stir, add 1/2 of seasoning, and heat through
Add rice, mix well - Add remaining seasoning
Add soy sauce, stirring until completely mixed through
Reduce heat to med high
Make a well in the middle of the wok
Add remaining oil and add eggs, one at a time, stirring to scramble and mix into rice
