Wasabi Tuna Steak

Ingredients:                                                         Preparation Time:   15 minutes

1 lb Sushi Grade Tuna Steak
Wasabi                                                                        
Lemon Slices


Cooking Instructions:
You should be able to find wasabi powder in the Asian section of your local grocery.  Do not use anything that says wasabi sauce as it usually is not pure.

Squeeze lemon on tuna
Coat one side only of tuna steak with wasabi powder
Heat butter in a heavy skillet, preferrably cast iron/or heat grill on high and coat with oil
Lay tuna, wasabi side down in middle of skillet or on grill and cook just until you see the color staring to change around the outer edges
Turn over, cover and cook until tuna is rare only about 3 minutes per side is required for this recipe.

If you don't like rare tuna, you probably should skip this one, as the flavor of the wasabi is much to strong for tuna that is cooked through.

Serve with some ginger and soy sauce and some chinese noodles with vegetables
